MCP server development — make your systems agent-ready
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is the open standard that lets AI assistants and agents — Claude, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT and the agent frameworks built on them — use your systems safely. North Peak Cloud builds MCP servers over your existing APIs and data: tools defined precisely, authentication through Microsoft Entra ID, permissions scoped to what an agent should actually be allowed to do, and every call logged. We also build the human side — the frontends and approval flows that keep people in control of what agents do on their behalf.
- MCP servers over your existing APIs, databases and services
- Entra ID authentication with scoped, least-privilege tool permissions
- Audit logging of every agent call — who, what, when
- OpenAPI-to-MCP: existing well-described APIs convert fast
- Frontends and approval flows for human-in-the-loop agent workflows
- Fixed price and timeline agreed before work starts
AI on Azure, done right.
AI-ready foundations
Azure AI Foundry hubs and projects, private networking to your models, identity and policy guardrails — the secure base every AI workload needs before it scales.
Cost control for AI & cloud
FinOps for the AI era: token and PTU strategy, model right-sizing, reservations and anomaly detection. We find the waste your invoice is hiding.
Platform engineering
Landing zones as code in Bicep or Terraform, GitOps, policy-as-code and golden paths. Enterprise-grade Azure delivered in weeks, not quarters.
Security & responsible AI
Content filtering, evaluations, data-residency and audit-ready guardrails aligned to the EU AI Act and ISO 42001 — trustworthy AI you can put in front of customers.
Migration & modernisation
Cloud Adoption Framework migrations and Well-Architected reviews that leave you cheaper, faster and ready for AI — not just lifted-and-shifted.
Senior engineers, direct
You work with the architect who does the build — no account managers, no offshore hand-off, no gatekeeping. Answers in plain English.

Asked and answered.
What is an MCP server?+
A Model Context Protocol server exposes your systems as well-defined tools that AI assistants and agents can call — with authentication, scoped permissions and audit built in. It is the safe bridge between 'we have APIs' and 'our customers' AI assistants can actually use them'.
Why would my business need MCP?+
Because your customers and staff increasingly work through AI assistants, and those assistants can only use systems that speak their protocol. An MCP server lets an agent check stock, raise a ticket or pull a report through governed, logged, permissioned tools — instead of screen-scraping or copy-paste. Early movers get the integration advantage while competitors are still hand-typing.
Is it safe to let AI agents call our systems?+
It is as safe as the guardrails you build: least-privilege tool scopes, Entra ID authentication, human approval steps for consequential actions, and full audit logging. That guardrail engineering is most of the work — and exactly what North Peak Cloud builds alongside the server itself.
Do we need new APIs first?+
Usually not. If you have existing APIs with reasonable contracts, an MCP server can wrap them — well-described OpenAPI converts fast. Where contracts are missing, we build the API layer first; see our Azure API development service.
