Azure DevOps & platform engineering
North Peak Cloud builds the CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and developer platforms that let your teams ship software faster and safer on Azure — and, just as importantly, that hand autonomy back to developers. Shift-left practices move testing, security and compliance into the developer's own loop, where problems cost minutes instead of weeks; golden paths and policy-as-code make the secure way the easy way; and CI/CD democratises delivery, so shipping to production stops being a privilege guarded by a release team and becomes something every developer does safely, every day. Good platform engineering is the multiplier that makes every other Azure investment pay off.
- CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Shift-left: tests, security and compliance in the dev loop, not after it
- Infrastructure as code — Bicep or Terraform
- GitOps and automated environments
- Golden-path developer platforms — autonomy with guardrails
- Policy-as-code guardrails in the pipeline
AI on Azure, done right.
AI-ready foundations
Azure AI Foundry hubs and projects, private networking to your models, identity and policy guardrails — the secure base every AI workload needs before it scales.
Cost control for AI & cloud
FinOps for the AI era: token and PTU strategy, model right-sizing, reservations and anomaly detection. We find the waste your invoice is hiding.
Platform engineering
Landing zones as code in Bicep or Terraform, GitOps, policy-as-code and golden paths. Enterprise-grade Azure delivered in weeks, not quarters.
Security & responsible AI
Content filtering, evaluations, data-residency and audit-ready guardrails aligned to the EU AI Act and ISO 42001 — trustworthy AI you can put in front of customers.
Migration & modernisation
Cloud Adoption Framework migrations and Well-Architected reviews that leave you cheaper, faster and ready for AI — not just lifted-and-shifted.
Senior engineers, direct
You work with the architect who does the build — no account managers, no offshore hand-off, no gatekeeping. Answers in plain English.
Three ways to start.
An AI-ready Azure landing zone, delivered in weeks.
- Azure AI Foundry hub & projects
- Private networking to model endpoints
- Identity, RBAC & Azure Policy guardrails
- Responsible-AI baseline & content filters
- Infrastructure as code you own
- Handover & runbook
One AI use case, production-grade, on AI Foundry.
- RAG, agent or document-intelligence build
- Evaluation & guardrails wired in
- CI/CD and observability
- Cost model before you commit
- Knowledge transfer to your team
- Reusable accelerator IP
Stop AI and cloud bill shock — with a gain-share option where our fee aligns to the savings we deliver.
- Token / PTU vs pay-as-you-go strategy
- Model right-sizing & reservations
- Cost anomaly detection
- Classic Azure estate optimisation
- Monthly reporting & reviews
- Gain-share option available

Asked and answered.
What does shift-left mean in practice?+
Moving quality, security and compliance checks into the developer's own workflow — linting, tests, policy-as-code and vulnerability scanning running on every commit — so problems are caught where they cost minutes to fix, not discovered by a downstream gate weeks later. The result is both faster delivery and more developer autonomy, because the guardrails travel with the code instead of standing in front of it.
How does CI/CD democratise delivery?+
When build, test, security and deployment are fully automated, shipping stops depending on a release manager's calendar or a heroic ops engineer. Any developer can take a change from commit to production through the same governed pipeline — which flattens bottlenecks, spreads ownership across the team, and turns releases from events into routine.
Azure DevOps or GitHub — which should I use?+
Both are excellent. GitHub leads on developer experience, community and AI (Copilot); Azure DevOps has mature boards and pipelines many enterprises already run. North Peak Cloud works with either and helps you choose based on your team, not a preference.
What is platform engineering?+
Platform engineering builds an internal platform — automated pipelines, infrastructure as code and self-service golden paths — so developers ship quickly and safely without reinventing the plumbing each time. It turns cloud capability into consistent, governed delivery.
